Who offers the best FIREPLACE service in Kansas City? (wink wink!)

Fireplaces have undergone dramatic changes in the last 30 years. In the 1980s fireplaces were mostly still masonry versions with brick-and-mortar construction. Then, in the 1990s fireplaces transitioned over to the prefabricated type, which means they were constructed out of sheet metal from a factory. This allowed builders to add fireplaces in a much more cost-effective manner. Now we are on the 3rd generation of fireplaces which started at the turn of the century (2000 not 1900? 😊). These are primarily direct-vent type fireplaces, and they are GAS ONLY! With three very different types of fireplaces in our homes today, it can be confusing to find the right company for your fireplace service call.

We take many phones calls each year asking us if we service a particular type of fireplace and if not…who do you call?  While we would love the opportunity to visit every one of our customers’ fireplaces, there are some brands and types that would be better served by another company. We know our way around Kozy Heat, Napoleon, Mendota, and R.H. Peterson Companies Real-Fyre products.  Our industry, however, has many more brands!  So, while we would love to help every one of our Kansas City neighbors, we just may not be the best fireplace company for your needs. So…we have compiled a list of some of the best fireplace companies in Kansas City that might be able to help with your brand. Alphabetical of course so as not to appear biased!

Complete Home Concepts

If they are not the biggest fireplace company in Kansas City, they must be very close to the top. They work with most of the builders in Kansas City and have been doing so for years! The brands they represent are Heatilator, Heatilator Eco Choice, Heat & Glo, Quadra-fire, SimpliFire, Harman, Outdoor Lifestyles and Montigo.

The Hayes Company

They are a fellow NARI member (we LOVE Kansas City NARI) and have been installing fireplaces for decades now. They offer fireplaces and log sets from top brands like Superior Fireplaces, American Hearth and Empire Comfort Systems.

Hearth Masters

This NARI member works on a wide variety of fireplace types.  So, whether it is masonry or prefabricated, there is a good chance they have seen it before. They represent brands like ECCO, Regency, Hampton, Hearthstone, Valor, Napoleon, Pearl, & Archguard, as well as custom-built masonry heaters and brick ovens.

Hearth & Home Specialties

We like to think of them as our neighbors to the east. We’ve sold some similar products and we know them well. Another family-owned business, they really specialize in the vent free area of gas fireplaces as well as wood burning applications. They carry brands such as Buck Stove, Empire Comfort Systems, & Kozy Heat.

Midwest Fireplace

Another NARI member (isn’t NARI the best 😊) which has been doing fireplaces for decades as well. If they do not have something for you, I am not sure who will. These guys have tons of fireplaces to choose from like, Da Vinci, Kozy Heat, Town & Country, Fireplace Extrodinair, Lopi, Astria, Napoleon, Modern Flames, Mason-Lite, Isokern, & Supreme.
